Cheryl Lenee Taylor

Cheryl loved going by her middle name Leneé. Leneé passed away November 8, 2016 in Corvallis with her family and close friends beside her. She was 55 years old. Leneé was born to Warren C. Welch and Elvina McCoy on April 2, 1961. Leneé is survived by her husband, Mark Taylor, they were married in 1961. She had her first son, Justin Taylor in 1993 and her youngest son, Joshua Taylor in 1997. Leneé’s parents moved her to Harrisburg Oregon when she was in grade school. After graduating from Harrisburg High School, she continued her education at Lane Community College (LCC). After three years at LCC she went to truck driving school. From there she went on an adventure of a lifetime; she went driving long haul truck with her husband, Mark. She loved telling stories of being on the road. When she wasn’t driving truck, she enjoyed photography to pass the time. Later when Leneé and Mark decided to start their family, Leneé’s boys became the most important thing in her life. In 2006 Leneé began losing her eye sight and at the same time she suffered from a back injury. a day came when her eye sight was totally gone and the back injury was so severe that it caused her to live the rest of her life (about 90%) in bed. This made her life incredibly difficult, although with her faith and love for God she reached deep down inside fo herself and raised above it mentally. She found a way to live life in that bed. From time to time she would get up and go out, mostly to celebrate a birthday or a special occasion, as a result, going out always took a toll on Leneé because of the back pain, but it never stopped her. While in bed she loved listening to story books on tape. This was her way of traveling the world in her mind. She loved her boys with a passion. Everyday after school she would have them tell her about their day. She would have them get up there in her bed to tell her every detail, there was no leaving anything out; she had them paint a picture in her mind. When it came to her family and friends she always made herself available with a hug, words of encouragement and prayer. She never let you off the phone without praying for you first. She was loved deeply and she will be missed forever. A graveside service will be held to honer Leneé’s life at Alford Cemetery, 7553 Albany-Junction City Highway, Harrisburg, OR 97446, on Saturday, November 19 at 1 pm.
