Mary Miller

Mary passed away with her daughter and husband at her side Monday, April 7. Born to Edward “Pop” and Viola Bowling in Oklahoma on October 10, 1933. Mary spent most of her childhood in the Wilburton area of Oklahoma until her family relocated to Carlsbad, New Mexico. In the summer before her senior year of high school her family moved back to Wilburton, Oklahoma where she completed her senior year of high school. Mary spent many years of her life in Oklahoma but in 1979 after adopting her granddaughter she decided to relocate and begin a new chapter in her life out west where her son Randy lived in Oregon. Within a year of moving to Oregon with her daughter Tamara she met and married a wonderful man, William Miller. They were married on August 29, 1980 and have spent 27 years together, a lot of them traveling and exploring in their motor home and eventually buying a little cabin, which mom loved, in New Mexico. In 2002 they relocated to Corvallis to be closer to their daughter Tamara and her son Randy and her wonderful doctor, Dr. Neville. Mary was a devout Christian who loved her God and faced her death with grace and dignity. She was a wonderful mother to her two boys Terry, who preceded her in death, Randy, and her daughter Tamara. She was also the most loving, gentle grandma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren they loved her deeply and she loved them back. She was a wonderful wife to her husband Bill, with whom she spent many years trying out new restaurants and discovering new places to explore. In the end she found complete solace and peace with her husband and her daughter at her side. She will be so missed. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy; she is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Miller, her son Randall Kelley of Seattle, WA, and his wife Rita Kelley and her daughter Tamara Dykes of Corvallis, OR and her husband Scott Dykes. Her stepdaughter Pam Dizney and her husband Dan Dizney, Her stepson Mark Miller and his wife Liz Miller. She also leaves a beautiful legacy of grandchildren who include Mary Lee Spina, Angela Kelley, Kristina Morrell, Teri Wright, Noelle Dykes, Micah Dykes, and Mary Dykes, Danielle Dizney, Tim Dizney and Rachel Miller. Great grandchildren Nicholas Spina, Vincent Spina, Sophia Spina, Hugh Keefe, Breanne Morrell, Chance Morrell, Brian Jr. Morrell, Kelley Morrell, Dayton Tubbs, Alaysia Wright, and Dominick Wright. Our beloved mom, wife, grandma, and great grandma is telling us today….
