Elizabeth McCarty Groner

April 20, 1952 - May 8, 2022

Elizabeth was born on April 20, 1952, in Augusta, Georgia, to Charles Raymond and Anna Elizabeth (Anderson) McCarty. The family lived in Iowa until they moved to Sacramento, California in 1961. Elizabeth graduated from the University of California, Davis in 1974. She married her husband, David, in 1976, and the two of them moved to Corvallis in the early 1990’s, where they established Landmark Construction and Remodeling. After David retired, Elizabeth worked as the Inside Sales Manager at Riverside Window and Door in Corvallis, and subsequently joined the staff of Blackledge Furniture in Corvallis. When not at work she was active in several volunteer organizations including: Altrusa International, the Downtown Corvallis Association, and her neighborhood association. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, David, and her brother and sister-in-law Charles and Linda McCarty, of Vancouver, Washington. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial on Saturday, May 21st at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Corvallis at 1pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center.
