Rosane Marie Koch

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Rosane Marie Koch (Nixon), who peacefully departed this life on March 6, 2025, at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 12, 1946, in Corvallis, Oregon, she was the daughter of Ed and Rozena Nixon and the eldest of three children. Rosane’s life was defined by her unwavering faith of the lord, love for her family, and dedication to her community. She married John Koch on October 4, 1965, at Bellfountain Community Church, and together they built a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, she found her greatest fulfillment in caring for her family and her devotion. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1964 and remained a lifelong resident of Benton County, living in Bellfountain, Irish Bend, and Glenbrook. Passionate about serving others, she was actively involved in 4-H, Scouting, Bellfountain Community Church, and supported Shriners Children’s Hospital. Known for her warm spirit and hospitality, she loved celebrating holidays, hosting her famous St. Patrick’s Day “green” dinner, and an annual New Year’s Eve pinochle party. Rosane’s nurturing personality shined through her many passions, including painting, sewing, gardening, camping, and baking. For 25 years, she was lovingly known as the “Best Grandma,” creating treasured traditions with her grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved husband, John; their children, Thad (Sandi), Dave (Kristin), and Ruby (Ryan); her sister, Mary Jane Jackson; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Nixon, and granddaughter, Sarah Rose Parmenter. As her grandson, Thomas Koch, beautifully expressed, “The world would be a better place if there were more Grandmas, and the walls would be prettier too.” These words perfectly capture Rosane’s lasting impact on those who knew and loved her. Rosane will be laid to rest at Bellfountain Cemetery, and a celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 12th at the Bellfountain Community Church, with reception following at the Bellfountain School.
