Peggie L. Middlemiss

Peggie Lorraine Middlemiss, 55, of Corvallis passed away March 7, 2015, at her home. She was born on June 7, 1959, in Redmond to Leonard Wayne and Jeannette Alberta Bettelyoun. Peggie graduated from Crescent Valley High School in 1977. She then went on to receive her associate’s degree from Linn-Benton Community College. Peggie worked for Corvallis Municipal Court until her retirement. Growing up, Peggie had a love and passion for horses; she was involved in 4-H. She won various ribbons with her favorite Palomino mare, Pepsi. Peggie had a natural green thumb; she loved her plants and flowers. They filled her house with warmth and beauty. The light and joy of her life were her three grandchildren. Peggie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had an abundance of love for each and every one of them. Peggie was a very compassionate, thoughtful, caring and loving person. She preferred to do things in the background, and always make sure that every last detail was taken care of to make sure everyone enjoyed their time together. Summertime family reunions were the highlight for her. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Bettelyoun; brother, Chuck Bettelyoun; and grandson, Cole Middlemiss. She is survived by her two sons, Roy Middlemiss and Brandon Winn; grandchildren, Faith, Brayden and Jayden Middlemiss; mother, Jeanette Dankenbring; siblings, Rick Bettelyoun, Pamela Bettelyoun, Clint Bettelyoun, Jody True and Tami Hart; nieces and nephews, Chuck Bettelyoun Jr., Bobbie Bettelyoun, Jason Corona, James Robinson, Krystal Robinson, Haley Bettelyoun, Tonya Slocum, Christopher Bettelyoun, Rikki Bettelyoun, Leonard Bettelyoun, Kimmie Bettelyoun and Dakota Tittle; and aunts and uncles, Penny and Glen Cartwright, Shirley and Hank Knick, Connie Lengele, Dwayne and Kay Smith, Melvin and Jeannette Hall, Darleen and Tom Evans, and Leland Bettelyoun. A memorial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at McHenry Funeral Home, 206 N.W. Fifth St., Corvallis.
