Mary Linda “Mindy” (Duty) Rutledge September 18, 1947 – May 19, 2026 Mary Linda “Mindy” (Duty) Rutledge of Albany, OR went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. Mindy was born into a military family in Fontana, California on September 18, 1947. She grew up having lived in Fontana, CA, El Paso, TX, Hanford, WA, Portland, OR and Ashland, OR. After attending her first year of high school at Cleveland High in Portland, she graduated from Ashland High School in 1965 and went on to take business classes at Southern Oregon State College. While there she met the first love of her life, Roger Rutledge. The two married in June 1968 and remained wed until Roger’s passing in 2007. They had two sons, Darin and Aaron, while in Ashland. They moved to Baker City, OR in 1986 and lived there two years before relocating to Klamath Falls, OR. They then moved to Philomath, OR in 2005. After Roger’s passing, Mindy met Linwood Johnson of Corvallis, OR in 2009. She always said she was one of the few women blessed to find two amazing men in the same lifetime. They were married in 2012 and literally traveled the world together by planes, trains, and later, Lin’s custom RV. Mindy was a loyal and successful professional. She worked many years at CP National in Medford and then for two years at City Hall in Baker City, OR. She retired in 2005 after a long stint as an Executive Assistant at South Valley State Bank’s corporate headquarters in Klamath Falls. Mindy was preceded in death by her parents, Betty (Borden) and Dave Duty, her brother David, her sister Sue, and her first husband Roger. She is survived by husband Linwood Johnson, son Darin and his wife Kat, son Aaron and his wife Krystal and grandchildren Jeff, Emily, Abby and JJ. Her and Lin were also blessed to share 28 great grandchildren between their families. No services will be held. Mindy was a believer in Jesus Christ. She wrote that Lake Louise near Calgary, Alberta, Canada was one of the most beautiful places on earth, and that she looked forward to meeting those who went before her near a lake that looked just like that in Heaven. Her family requests that anyone who wishes to honor her memory simply go out and do something kind in this world for someone else.
