Jane Easton

Jane Easton, age 53, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a 17-month battle with cancer. She fought the good fight, kept the faith, and is now face to face with the Lover of her soul. Jane was born in San Jose, California to Vincent and Pauline Arena, and graduated from Willow Glen High School in 1973. Jane worked as a typesetter and graphic artist for several years in San Jose, and met Doug Easton at the Home Church in Campbell, California, where they were married in 1987. Doug adopted Jane’s son, Matthew, and along with his own son Brent, the four of them moved to Boulder, Colorado, where Jane worked at the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper, while Doug completed Aircraft Mechanic’s school. Afterward, Jane and Doug moved to Monterey, California, and had two children, Daniel and Amy. The Eastons moved to Corvallis, Oregon in 1992, where Doug worked for Hewlett-Packard. They became members of the Northwest Hills Community Church, where Jane was employed for the past 8 years. Jane was involved with the worship ministry at church for many years, playing the guitar and singing. Worshiping her Savior was Jane’s passion in life, along with loving her children, her family both near and far, and riding her motorcycle. Jane is survived by her husband of 21 years, Doug, sons Matthew and Daniel, and daughter Amy, of Corvallis, OR; her father, Vincent Arena of San Jose, CA., her sisters, Theresa Aquino of Cottonwood, CA, Judy Ghione of San Jose, CA., Sue Miner of San Jose, CA., in laws Robert and Elaine Easton of Albany, OR., Dave and Pam Snider of Albany, OR., Dr. Tim and Robin Murbach of Salem, OR., Robert Easton Jr. and wife Malaura of Whittier, CA., Brent and Shelly Easton and granddaughter Lily, of Traverse City, MI, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Laurie, and her mother, Pauline. The family wishes to extend an invitation to a Celebration of Life Memorial at 1 p.m. on Monday June 9th at the Northwest Hills Community Church, 3300 NW Walnut Blvd., Corvallis, OR. Arrangements are by McHenry Funeral Home, Corvallis, OR. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy and support take the form of contributions to the Jane Easton Memorial Fund at OSU Federal Credit Union, 1980 NW 9th Street, Corvallis, OR.
