Dan Hanohano Peretti - beloved son, brother, husband, father, friend, and faithful believer - was called home to his eternal life with the Lord on April 11, 2026. Dan was born on November 14 in Eugene, Oregon, beginning a life defined by love and perseverance. From the very start, he carried a fiery spirit, remarkable resilience, and visible strength that followed him into every season of life. Above all else, Dan loved his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Katie, and a proud, loving father to his sons, Ty and Troy. His love for his family and friends was steady, never demanding and always present. Those who knew him best saw that Dan was a man who expressed love more through his actions than through words. Dan leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his wife, Katie; his sons, Ty and Troy; his father, Gary Peretti; and his brothers, Paul (Melanie) Peretti and Micah (Briellen) Peretti. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Mike (Deanna) Mueller; his sisters-in-law, Kelly and step-sisters-in-law Michelle and Anita; and his step-brother-in-law, Ryan. Dan is further survived by his nieces and nephews: Avery, Brandon, Brooke, Connor, Daniel, Jacob, Kristiahna, Mandi, Preston, Rylan, Savannah, Trevor, and Tyler. Dan was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Layne; his mother-in-law, Pamela; and his grandparents, John (Kalani) McCandless, Al (Pauline) Peretti, Oma (Marie), and Opa (Robert) Mueller, and Jay (Stella) Miller. Throughout his nearly 30-year career at Wah Chang, Dan’s journey began as a student worker and grew into a respected role as Supervisor. He earned this position through integrity, dedication, and a leadership style rooted in trust. Dan listened to those on the floor, worked alongside them to solve challenges, and consistently gave credit to employees for their ideas and contributions. He was valued for his strong follow-through, open communication, and genuine care for the people he led. Dan’s journey included a courageous battle with cancer. Though he lost the earthly fight, his faith never wavered. In fact, through suffering, Dan’s testimony grew stronger. He shared hope, encouraged belief, and helped lead others closer to the Lord. As his family knows - and as Dan himself believed - this was not a defeat, but a victory. He won the greater battle by bringing more believers to the Lord God, our Savior. Dan found comfort in Scripture, and one verse that reflects his faith and peace is: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7 (NIV) A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 4:00 pm at the River Center, 3000 S. Santiam Hwy, Lebanon, OR 97355. Additionally, a Celebration of Life will be hosted by The Cox Family on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 4:00 pm at 29020 Highway 34, Corvallis, OR 97333.
