Brian Stokes

Brian Michael Stokes, age 50, went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Brian was born May 28, 1975 in Corvallis, Oregon to Ronald Stokes and Eva (Lynch) Stokes Breitwieser. He grew up in Philomath, Oregon. After graduating from Philomath High School in 1993, Brian attended Oregon State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering Management in 1999. He married the love of his life, JonnaVe (Schrock) Stokes, in 1998 and they were together for 30 years. After graduating from OSU, the couple moved to Bend, Oregon where he worked for Jack Robinson and Sons, Inc. for 3 years before starting his own business. Tri S Construction, Inc. was established after they returned with their young son, Jedidiah, to their hometown of Philomath. Brian and JonnaVe’s daughter, Olivia, was born 2 years later when they purchased their first home in Kings Valley, where they have lived for the past 20 years. As a general contractor, Brian ran a variety of construction projects ranging from excavation to new home construction as well as many public projects. Some of his most interesting work was completed at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and repairing hangars at the Corvallis Airport. Brian was well known for his honesty and reliability. His reputation in work and in life was well known in the communities that he served. Brian enjoyed fishing, hunting, and crabbing with family and friends. His favorite place to visit was the Owyhee in Jordan Valley, and he loved spending time in the Caribbean with his wife. People were the most important part of Brian’s life and he was loved by many. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Stokes. He is survived by his wife JonnaVe, son Jedidiah, daughter Olivia, brother Kevin Stokes, sister Rebecca (Wilson) Stokes, mother Eva Breitwieser, stepfather Ken Breitwieser, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and very dear extended family and friends. The Stokes family is holding a service in Brian’s honor at Peace Lutheran Church, 2540 Applegate Street in Philomath on Saturday, October 18, beginning at 2pm.
